Biographical / Historical
Born April 24, 1918, at Preston, Idaho, son of John A. Carver and LaVerne Olson Carver. Married Ruth O'Connor, 1942; two sons and one daughter. Educated in public schools of Preston, Pocatello, and Boise, Idaho. Attended Boise (Idaho) Junior College, George Washington University, Brigham Young University (A. B. 1939) and University of Montana Law School, University of Idaho Law School, and Georgetown University (LL.B. 1947). Honors: LL.D, College of Guam, 1964, John Carroll Medal of Merit, Georgetown University, 1971. Admitted to practice law in Idaho and the District of Columbia, 1946, and in Colorado, 1978.
