Abstract Box 293 contains two plaques and a portrait. The first plaque is in honor of Lucy Diggs Slowe, the first Black Dean of Women in America at Howard University and the first black member of NAWDAC/NAWE; she was also a founder and first president of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
