Overview The Dance Archive was founded in 1972 at Colorado Women's College. The library is now housed at the University of Denver under Special Collections and Archives. The library's mission is to advance education and engagement with resources across all genres of dance and movement, with an emphasis on the American West. This collection contains administrative and financial materials, programming materials, scrapbooks and realia, and publications.

The Dance Archive "Festival Caravan" Oral History Project

Overview This collection contains oral histories conducted by the Carson Brierly Giffin Dance Library for the 2017 annual project "Festival Caravan." Interviews include Buddy Butler, Frederick Glick, the Lowenstein family, Schyleen Qualls, and Cleo Parker Robinson. It also contains copies of the documentary created for the 2017 annual meeting, "Festival Caravan." In 2019, the Carson Brierly Giffin Dance Library rebranded as The Dance Archive.
