Marcy M. Marconi was a History Major at the University of Denver in 1989 when she contacted numerous women who had graduated from DU during the 1920s and asked them to fill out a questionnaire about being a female student at DU during that time. He was an attorney in Denver for many years. Rowena Mae Akers was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1911 and her family moved to Denver in the 1920s.
