Overview Lilian Salomon was born in Colorado in 1866, one of Denver's earliest Jewish pioneer families. She grew up in Denver and married James Geoffrey McMurry and had one child, James Taylor. Her father Hyman Zadek Salomon was a charter member of B’nai B’rith Denver lodge no. 171 and part owner of Salomon Bros. Grocers. Overview Louise Bieri was a student of the Colorado Women's College in 1921. She graduated in 1923 and became a teacher. In 1950, she graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor's in Education. Her daughter, Grace von Ehrenkrook Walker, also graduated from CWC in 1948 and from CU in 1950. She donated her mother's scrapbook to the archives.

Overview Luby Chevrolet, one of Colorado's oldest car dealerships, was started in 1920 in Denver, Colorado by Sam Luby, later joined by brothers Louis and Henry Luby. Joe Luby, who had worked at Luby Chevrolet from the bottom up, bought out his brothers in 1956. "Papa Joe" moved the dealership to Colorado in 1972.
