Abstract Joseph Gass (1870-1943) and his brother Samuel Gass moved to Liverpool, UK. In the 1880s and they immigrated to the United States in 1890. Joseph Gass lived in the failed agrigultural colony at Atwood, Colorado. He moved to Denver, Colorado and married Mollie Kadish in 1896. Moses (Moe) Katz was born in Denver, Colorado, in 1899. He grew up in Denver and was educated at West Denver High School, the University of Denver, and the University of Illinois. He founded the Chemical Sales Company with H. Fine in 1927. Katz was also involved in the Allied Jewish Federation of Denver and became its president in 1956. This collection includes a small number of items related to Moses Katz' education in chemistry as well as his career in the chemistry field.

Abstract In 1910, Max and Edward Neusteter moved to Denver and founded the Neusteter's high fashion women's clothing store. It was located on 16th Street in downtown Denver for many decades until it closed in 1986. Abstract Pioneer impresario Arthur M. Oberfelder came to Denver in 1913 and by 1917 had started his own concert management company. He started the Concert Under the Stars at Red Rocks and was responsible for bringing many entertainment groups to Denver. Collection contains invitations, programs, news clippings, portraits, certificates, photographs, scrapbooks, and autograph books related to the Oberfelder family and the Oberfelder Concert series from 1924 through 1978.

Radinsky Material Culture and Papers

Abstract The Radisnky family, Lithuania/East European inmmigrants, first settled on Denver's West Side in the 1890. Rabbi David Radinsky was the Rabbi of a small Mogen David synangogue orginally organized in his home. His son, Abraham David (A. D. Radinsky) started the A. D. Radinsky and Sons, Inc rag factory. The collection contains photographs, artwork, ephemera, business cards, business catalogs and family papers related to the Radinsky family.
