Rabbi Solomon S. Shapiro was born in Russia in 1887 and died in Denver, Colorado, in October of 1964. He was a scholar and rabbinal leader in Denver for more than thirty years. The collection contains two copies of his monograph "Essays Timely and Timeless" published in 1961 and three copies of his monograph "Itur B'rocho."
