Overview Collection contains (19) digitized photographs of the Bernstein family. Abe Perlmutter was born in Russia in 1893 and died in Denver on January 15, 1985. He came to the United States on his own when he was 15. At age 19 he became a journeyman mason in New York and saved enough money to bring his family to New York. Overview The Denver Public Library began the Creating Communities Project in 2008. The library and partners, including the Rocky Mountain Jewish Historical Society (RMJHS), contributed information and digitized images on different Denver neighborhoods.
