Arthur C. Jones Papers

Overview Arthur C Jones founded the Spirtiuals Project in 1998. Jones was a professor at DU with the Graduate School of Professional Psychology for 18 years, and worked not only in the classroom but also to address issues of racism, equity, and social justice. Arthur L. Esserman, M.D. Medical Equipment and Papers

Overview

Dr. Arthur Esserman was born in 1898 and died in Denver, Colorado on June 18, 1952. He was an intern at Children's Hospital in Denver from 1924 to 1926 and practiced pediatric medicine in Denver from 1926 to 1952. He was also on the staff at Children's Hospital. The collection illustrates the medical practice of a prominent pediatrician in Denver.

Babi Yar Park Records

Overview Babi Yar Park in Denver, Colorado was dedicated on October 2, 1983 to memorialize the September 1941 massacre of the Jews that remained in the Ukrainian city of Kiev, at a ravine called Babi Yar. The Babi Yar Park Foundation was formed under the leadership of Helen Ginsburg. Collection contains minutes, administrative papers, correspondence, reports, scrapbooks, news clippings, photos, public relations materials and architectural drawings from the Babi Yar Park between 1969-2015.

Overview Sam Bloom was born in Denver, Colorado in 1911. His parents were Pizer and Ida Strait Bloom. Pizer was born in Poland in 1885 and Ida was born in New York City in 1894. The couple opened Downing Coal and Feed store in Denver, Colorado. Sam Bloom married Lillian Gershowitz in 1937 at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver.
