Scope Note: Note: General term for copies produced by photocopying, that is, in a machine employing a light-sensitive process, and usually at a one-to-one scale. In the early to mid-20th century, used regarding copies made by various specific processes; since the mid-20th century, most often refers to xerographic copies.
LCGFT uses: Facsimiles, which we should reserve for copies that are exact reproductions, usually by photo offset, photoengraving or a similar process, rather than xerographic, liquid toner or coated paper processes on Xerox, Savin, Verifax and similar machines. adr 7/14/2016

Chalres Prezant helped to organize the first Jewish colony and the first synagogue in Denver, CO. He came from Russia in 1880 with 13 other Jewish families straight to Denver.
