Sketchbook, 1956
One Winsor Spiral Sketchbook, size 5 x 8, filled with pencil sketches of buildings, landscapes and seascapes, one watercolor and a few ink drawings. Several of the sketches have locations in and around Quebec written on them. Sketch book is dated "Summer 1956" on front cover; "Maria Lowenstein" is also written on cover. Stamped "Plankenhorn Stationary Co. Williamsport 2, PA" with "20" written in top right corner of front cover; presumably it was priced at 20 cents.

One Winsor Spiral Sketchbook, size 5 x 8, filled with pencil sketches of people, buildings, landscapes and still-life’s. One sketch is of Losch Farm Machinery which was located in Mansfield, PA about 50 miles north of Williamsport. Sketch book is not dated but is identical to sketchbook dated 1956. Stamped "Plankenhorn Stationary Co. Williamsport 2, PA" with "20" written in top right corner of front cover; presumably it was priced at 20 cents.

Sketchbook has "Lowenstein" written on front cover. Sketch book is not dated but is identical to sketchbook dated 1956. Stamped "Plankenhorn Stationary Co. Williamsport 2, PA" with "20" written in top right corner of front cover; presumably it was priced at 20 cents.

One Winsor Spiral Sketchbook, size 6 x 9, filled with pencil sketches of people, buildings, and street scenes. The last page has an itinerary of Maria's travel from July 16, 59-July 27, 59. Stamped "Plankenhorn Stationary Co. Williamsport 2, PA" with "25" written in top left corner of front cover; presumably it was priced at 25 cents.

One Winsor Spiral Sketchbook, size 6 x 9, filled with pencil sketches of people and street scenes. One ink still-life. Style of the drawings becoming noticeably more cubist. "Reunion" written on front cover. Plankenhorn Stationary Co. price tag on back cover; priced at 25 cents.

Fav-o-rite Sketch Book stamped 20 cents; has "Maria" written across top and "Pocketbook of Bauers" written down right side. In the back are a few pages of jokes and at the bottom of one page is says "Pocketbook of Boners" which is an early Dr. Seuss filled with little jokes and funny illustrations. Filled with pencil sketches of people, buildings, landscapes and one drawing in colored marker.

Sketchbook, 1970 August
Middlesex sketch book with "Trip to S. W. Colorado 1970" written in pencil across top of cover. Lower right hand corner has a Target price tag for 35 cents. The back of the sketch book has 17 pages of journal entries from the trip dated August 15-30. Book filled with pencil and marker sketches of people, buildings, landscapes and still-life’s.

"Think we could strike a deal?", circa 1960
Pencil sketch on tracing paper of a woman on a doorstep with a milk bottle in one hand and the outstretched holding money (presumably) toward the milkman. The milkman has a milk crate of bottles in each hand and his head is turned back toward the woman on the doorstep. The quotation at the bottom of the sketch states "Think we could strike a deal?"
