Father was a Russian immigrant rabbi and grandmother was well known midwife, Miriam Kobey. Talks about family and business life in Denver, potato chip factory.

Topics include how family came Russia to Manchester England to Central City to Apsen, Colorado. Started as peddlers. Kobey family of Aspen, Colorado, ran a store in Aspen. Very religious family. Mother died in 1920 and aunt died in 1921 so family moved in with uncle. Talks about school in Aspen. Moved to Denver in 1924 with his sister, brother already there. Mining and injury from it. Also worked in a Potato Chip factory.

Portrait of David M. Hyman, between 1900-1910
David M. Hyman wearing a suit and shirt collar, and pince-nez glasses. The Bavarian-born lawyer David Hyman became a major investor in mining properties there and helped establish the town in 1880. One of Aspen's main streets was named Hyman Avenue in his honor.
