University of Denver (DU) male and female students ride in a truck decorated with a banner that reads: ''DU Winter Carnival.'' One female student holds skis. Winter Carnival is a yearly University of Denver tradition that began in 1960, with both on-campus and on-mountain activities like snowboarding, skiing, and ice skating.
