The contents consist of a series of notes and drafts, kept alphabetically, by Burton Feldman pertaining to a future project that would chronicle the history of mythology from roughly 1700 to the ''present,'' then being about 1960. These are early notes that eventually would be used in his work ''The Rise of Modern Mythology, 1680-1860''.
