This folder is the contents of a binder labeled ''Figures''. Feldman used this notebook to record his research and opinions on major figures and how they related to the idea of myth. Each section on an individual figure included a section that described ''his position in a nutshell,'' a primary bibliography of the individual's works regarding myth, a secondary bibliography that also covered myth, critiques by others, and questions that Feldman had.

These notes are some of the groundwork that would set up his later endeavor to create a character that Feldman referred to as the ''Subhuman.'' The bulk of the developing plot seems to be devoted to the memoirs of a fictional tyrant.

This folder contains a notebook and notes of Burton Feldman's pertaining to myth, politics, and the notion of kinship. The notebook is filled, largely, with lists of authors that Burton would potentially be referencing. Alongside the notebook are a stack of index cards with notes concerning the concepts the authors discussed. The folder also contains some loose sheets of paper and newspaper clippings that had been in the notebook.
