Abstract Circle of Sisters / Circle of Friends is a coalition of women who served as civilians with various organizations in Vietnam and throughout Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. Established in 1996, the idea for the collection came about after Jolynne Strang and Cathleen Cordova, both of whom served in Vietnam, gathered information on civilian women who had lost their lives during that conflict. Abstract

Harry Pells was Jewish businessman in Denver, CO. He owned and operated an insurance agency and was an active marine. Harry Pells enlisted in the Army in both WWI and WWII. He was later involved in veterans’ organizations, such as the Jewish War Veterans and the American Legion where he organized a toy drive that sent over 50,000 toys to Europe. Collection contains personal papers, news clippings, pamphlets and, a newsletter related to Harry Pells from 1918 through 1986.

Abstract

Jacques Parker (d. 2019) was a ski illustrator and veteran of the United States 10th Mountain Division. This collection contains artist and climbing tools, biographical clippings, and other materials from his enlistment. Collection also contains several peices of artwork, in pencil, ink, and watercolor; and contains several drafts and final published works for magazines.
