At night, the Baths served as a mikveh (ritual bath) that was operated for women by Ida Cook. Abstract On Oct. 31, 1980, the Rocky Mountain Jewish Historical Society presented a concert featuring the music of four Jewish composers who lived and worked in Colorado. Goldmark came to Colorado in 1895 and was affiliated with Coloado College. Later, Aaron Copeland was his student at the Juilliard. Schalite was a synagogue organist in Munich and Rome before fleeing in 1933. His compositions were inspired by the Hebrew poets of the Middle Ages, and later, in Colorado, by the mountains. ...
