Abstract 2 pages handwritten letter with Isidore Hurwitz Library JCRS letterhead from Joseph Gorman to Philip Hillkowitz, in which he states he bought a violin of $125 with $40 down and a monthly payment of $10 so he could secure a position. He asks for Dr. Hillkowitz to finish reference and indorse his installment note, and says there is no other way to get a violin and he must have one to make a living. Letter is signed by J.G.

Abstract Typed letter from Dr. Philip Hillkowitz to Joseph Gorman, in which he states it is impossible to accomodate him in this matter, and it's utterly out of question for a sum of the amount he desires. He says the Society of Ex-patients JCRS might assist him. Letter is unsigned bu "President" is typed at bottom.
