Abstract Founded in 1981, the Friends of Nursing (FON), a nonprofit 501c(3) organization, is dedicated to advancing professional nursing through scholarship support of baccalaureate and higher degree nursing students. Abstract Rose Weinberg, the daughter of Russian immigrants, was born in Denver, Colorado on September 18, 1904 and died in Denver in September 22, 2000. She was buried at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. She graduated from Mount Sinai Hospital School of Nursing in 1934.
