In the top left corner is an insert photograph of the conductor, Horace Tureman. Some members are identified in the margins: George Wagner, Harold Potashnick, Sam Chernick, Lewis Chernoff, Henry Ginsberg, Ethel Bernstone, and Eli Trustman.

Abstract On Oct. 31, 1980, the Rocky Mountain Jewish Historical Society presented a concert featuring the music of four Jewish composers who lived and worked in Colorado. Goldmark came to Colorado in 1895 and was affiliated with Coloado College. Later, Aaron Copeland was his student at the Juilliard. Schalite was a synagogue organist in Munich and Rome before fleeing in 1933. His compositions were inspired by the Hebrew poets of the Middle Ages, and later, in Colorado, by the mountains. ...

Scrapbook contains newspaper clippings, photographs, concert programs, a few signed headshots from other musicians (one from Moissaye Boguslawski), and an honorary doctoral certificate in music from the Boguslawski College of Music in 1936. Abstract Cantor Jacob Lefkowitz was considered one of the preeminent American-born cantors of the 20th century and composed liturgical music for prayers, psalms, cantatas and recitatives. His first cantorial positon was at Denver's Hebrew Educational Alliance, where he was cantor from 1941-1957. Jacob Lefkowitz was born in 1913 in Cleveland, Ohio. The Cantor Jacob Lefkowitz Cantorial Melodies collection contains three 33rpm 12-inch records with "Cantorial Melodies" composed and sung by Cantor Jacob...

The newspaper article appeared in the April 3, 2015 Passover Edition of the "Intermountain Jewish News." Daniel Sladek wrote about his father Osi Sladek who was a child Holocaust survivor and a folk singer and composer. He took part in the folk music revival beginning in 1958 when he arrived in California.
