File contains menus from National Jewish Hospital (NJH) in Denver, CO. from 1917 to 1926. File includes handwritten notes about menus for the week, small typed menus for individual days with a place at the bottom for the patient's name, and large typed menus for individual days. NJH menu items are listed. Food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is listed on each menu.

Recipe Card Boxes and Binders, between 1960-1990
This series contains the contents of nineteen (19) boxes, six (6) ziploc bags, and fifteen (15) binders all full of recipes and recipe cards created and/or collected by Betty Carey. Some of the recipe cards are handwritten while others are "handcrafted" meaning they are an index card upon which Betty Carey has stapled copies of recipes of her choosing.

Samuel Krone Salting Meat at the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society, circa 1941
Samuel Krone salting meat at the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society (JCRS). All of the food served to the patients at the JCRS was kosher. Rev. Krone served as the mashgiach at the Sanatorium for over 18 years. The JCRS was a sanatorium for tuberculosis patients that was founded in 1904 by a group of immigrant Jewish workingmen along with the support of several leading physicians and rabbis in Denver, Colorado. The sanatorium was located on West Colfax Avenue just outside of Denver.
