Childhood in Humboldt, Tennessee- first Jewish child born in Humboldt, brother was first Jew buried in Humboldt, Tennessee and prominent city figure so the city allowed the funeral service to be integrated. Came to Denver in 1928 for husband’s work, thought Denver was only tuberculars and asthmatics at first. She was president of NCJW from 1942-44 and activities of the Council.
