Overview Formal portrait of Dora Ginsberg in a dress and jacket. She was born in Russia as Devra Solomon Ginsberg and died in Denver, Colorado in May 1937. Her husband changed his name to her last name when they came to the United States circa 1896. She came to Denver before her husband and daughter because of her poor health. The family lived in Denver at 2911 W. Colfax Avenue in a combined home and shop for Dora Ginsberg, who was a Sheitel macher, to make Sheitels (wigs).
