Abstract Moses-Isaac and Faye Rosenthal Goodstein arrived in Denver 1872 after fleeing from Russia Poland to London. Moses-Isaac Goodstein worked for his brother in law Philip Rosenthal in the Swansea Smelting Works and the Denver Rolling Mills. Abstract Lillian Stein was born on July 7, 1907 in Denver to David and Rose Stein. Her father was a tailor and a cantor. Billie (Lillian) Stein began playing the trumpet in The Denver Post Boys Band. She started her all girls band at 14 and took Billie's Harmony Girls jazz band on the road when she graduated from high school at the age of 15. Abstract

Sophie Miller Peterman was born in 1900 in Denver, Colorado. She was the daughter of Lithuanian immigrants Anna and Robert Lazar Miller, who were pioneers of Denver's Jewish community. In about 1920, Sophie Miller married Joseph (Joe) Peterman, and they had a daughter named Norma. Sophie Peterman died in Denver in 1986. The collection consists of one ivory satin wedding gown worn by Sophie Peterman on her wedding day.
