Overview This folder contains Maria Lowenstein's address book and loose contents, including exhibit fliers and membership cards for the Denver Art Museum, Denver Allied Arts Guild and he Artists Equity Association, Incorporated. It also has a card for "Maria Lowenstein Dressmaking & Alterations at your home or mine, 234 East 63rd street, New York 21, NY, Templeton 8-4674."
Overview Folder containes fourteen nomination letters suggesting Maria Lowenstein for the Americans by Choice Distinguished Citizen Award including letter from the DAR and the YWCA. Also included is the citizenship day even program from September 17, 1972 and two newspaper clipplings with Maria mentioned and pictured. Lastly a letter from Henry in 1988 informing the Citizenshp Day committee of his mothers passing in 1982 after they had invited her to the celebration.
Scope and Contents Contains handwritten and typed lists of the prices and sizes of Maria Lowenstein's art. Also a late 1960s or 1970s resume of Maria's shows and a 1978 thank you note from Channel 6 for Maria's donation to their art auction.

Overview Born in Varniai, Russa in 1866, professor Boris Schatz was the founder and director of Bezalel School of Arts and Crafts in Palestine and a noted artist, serving as the king of Bulgaria's court painter and sculptor over the turn of the century. He died on March 23, 1932 at the Beth Israel hospital in Denver while fundraising for the school in the United States and was buried in Jerusalem.

Scope and Contents Ink wash painting titled "Despair" of a woman sitting on a short stool in front of a Fanklin stove with the door open and a pot on top. Sitting on the floor is an empty basket. Behind the woman is a window and a shelf with a candle and two canisters. Ink wash is done on an old roll of unused wallpaper as stated by the artist in a 1971 Rocky Mountain News Article. See B333.08.0001.0001.00004.
Scope and Contents Printed copy of an ink wash painting titled "Elias und die Raben" by the artist; "Elias und die Raben" is "Elias and the Ravens" in German. The painting is of an old man on his knees with the mountains in the background and six birds flying overhead.
