University of Denver Woodstock West Protest Band Plays Near Buchtel Chapel , May 5th-13th 1970

Abstract

A band plays near a patch of treses while protesters sit in the field outside of the University of Denver (DU) Buchtel Memorial Chapel. Participants gather as part of a multi-day Vietnam War protest nicknamed "Woodstock West" that took place both on the DU campus and downtown Denver, Colorado. Protesters mourn the killings of four students on the Kent State University campus days earlier.
