Abstract

Lipa Feingold moved to Denver in 1908 with his family and they resided in the city's west Colfax East European Jewish community. Feingold worked as a jeweler, but he composed musical compositions and lyrics in English and Yiddish in his spare time. In 1925 he left Denver for New York City to pursue his musical career in Tin Pan Alley. The collection consists of a number of Feingold's sheet music, bulletins and jewelry patents.

Abstract Maurice Wolfe was a songwriter, music and lyrics, in the first half of the 1900s. He was born in Denver, Colorado, October 13, 1888 and was a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. According to his daughter, the song "When you were six and I was ten" was written about Maurice and Lily and their childhood in Cripple Creek in the 1890s.
