This box contains materials related to fund raising activities and campaigns for the Central City Opera from the years 1973-1995. This includes materials of the Central City Opera House Guild and other fund raising groups. It also contains administrative materials from 1932 to 1993, as well as undated administative materials.

These unique items are wrapped in tissue paper or stored in photo sleeves with item numbers written on objects tags or on the photo sleeves. The item numbers reflect the original box and folder the items were originally in before being removed for separate storage.

Abstract The Flower Girls were a fundraising tradition started by Anne Evans with the first Central City Opera Festival season in 1932. Debutantes from prominent Denver families would be selected by a "secret committee" to act as hostesses of the opera's opening nights, handing out nosegay bouquets to opera-goers to throw onstage as the permiere performance curtain closed.
