Born in Bavaria, Anfenger came to the United States in the 1850s and moved to Denver in 1870 to seek his fortune. Byron Giles Rogers was a Colorado Representative to the House of Representatives. He was elected as a Democrat to the 82nd and to the next 10 congresses (January 3, 1951-January 3, 1971).
