Since 2004, the Friends of The Dance Archive have honored several individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to dance as "Legends of Dance in Colorado" each year. This collection contains oral histories, plaques inscribed with the names of the honorees, as well as files containing transcripts of oral histories with the honorees, biographical information about the honorees, and audiovisual recordings and highlight reels from the annual awards banquet.

Maxine Munt Scrapbook

Abstract Maxine Munt was a modern dancer and dance educator who studied at the Bennington School of the Dance at Bennington College in Bennington, Vermont. In 1952, Munt and her husband, Alfred Brooks, opened the Munt-Brooks Studio in New York. In 1966, Munt and Brooks moved to Denver, Colorado and founded a theater called The Changing Scene.
