Abstract Jane Russo is the great-granddaughter of Charles and Jenny Charsky Spivak. Jane Russo was born in Denver in 1946 to Nelson and Ruth Strauss Oppenheim in 1946. Ruth Strauss was the daughter of Herman and Deena Spivak Strauss and Deena was the daughter Dr. Charles and Jenny Charsky Spivak. Charles Spivak was a medical doctor and the long-time secretary of the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society. Metal plaque mounted on wood and engraved with ''Frances Wisebart Jacobs; After her death in 1892, the Frances Jacobs Hospital was erected on this site. It was the forerunner of the present institution, and was established through the love and gratitude of the people of Denver to memorialized a noble pioneer, Denver's 'Mother of Charities'''.
