Emanuel Saltiel, 1942-1995

Abstract Emanuel Saltiel was born in Bath, England in 1844 and emigrated to the United States, joining the Confederate army in 1864. In 1866 Saltiel, now a member of the Union army under the name Joseph Isaacs, was court-martialed for treason.
