Jewish women -- Colorado

This DVD contains the film, "A Legacy of Leadership: Colorado Jewish Women for 150 Years." The film was created for the 2020 RMJHS annual dinner.

This series contains a photo album, photographs, bulletin pages, drawings, lithographs, and contact sheets of the campus and buildings, patients and family, staff and volunteers, auxiliaries and conventions, and activities connected with the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society and the AMC Cancer Research Center.

File contains a copy of Belle's obituary, published in the Intermountain Jewish News, as well as an additional article on her life printed in the newspaper. Belle Marcus (1928-2018) was the director of the Rocky Mountain Jewish Historical Society from 1977-1982.

Box contains one [1] scrapbook containing photographs, newspaper clippings, invitations, and flyers about the Mizrachi Women of Denver organization and their events from 1972-1974.

Box contains eight file folders related to Colorado Jewish History Week, which took place May 25-31, 1992. Topics include publicity, correspondence, general documents, income and finances, contracts, scholar-in-residence, May 31st dinner, and agency fair/history week Shabbat. The box also contains the book produced for the week, A Colorado Jewish Family Album 1859-1992, and sample versions to demonstrate full page/half page advertisements.

This folder contains a clipping from the "Littleton Report" titled, "Littleton Legend Libby Bortz Inducted Into Women's Hall of Fame." The article details her work on Littleton's Council for Human Relations, the creation of an assisted living home, and leader of women's causes.

Discusses life as a pioneer in the thriving mining town of Aspen, family ran business there and prospered, growing up without many other Jewish families, school life, teaching in a country school, moved to Denver around 1924, and talks a lot about her family life.
