Abstract Judge Donald H. Meyer, the son of Morris Meyer, describes the early life of the Meyer brothers, Morris, Sam, Max, and Charles, who emigrated from Poland in the late 1800s. He talks about his father Morris' early business efforts in Wisconsin as well as his father's marriage to his mother, a German immigrant. Rose Stuhlbarg details Jewish life on the West Side of Denver, Colo. She also talks about her parents who emigrated from Russia. Her father practiced folk-medicine and her mother was a midwife. She mentions the Yiddish theater in Denver. She discusses her life after her first husband died, and the Depression years in Denver. Her first husband was murdered while on the Denver Police Force in 1919.
