Abstract Maurice Rose was born in 1899 in Middletown, CT to Rabbi Samuel and Katy Rose. The family moved to Denver, Colorado in 1902 when Maurice was three. After graduation from highschool, Maurice Rose enlisted in the United States army when he was 15 and fought under General Pershing. He stayed in the army and attended various military schools. A framed oil painting of Jewish Rabbi, most likely Rabbi David Radinsky, identified on reverse as "Grandfather Radinsky by Jaq (?)." The script on the reverse isn't very clear but assuming it is the same artist as another identified portrait done by "Jaq" in the 1950s. Rabbi in protrait sits in floral upholstered chair next to small round table with maroon tablecoloth holding an open book in the table.

Abstract Jane Russo is the great-granddaughter of Charles and Jenny Charsky Spivak. Jane Russo was born in Denver in 1946 to Nelson and Ruth Strauss Oppenheim in 1946. Ruth Strauss was the daughter of Herman and Deena Spivak Strauss and Deena was the daughter Dr. Charles and Jenny Charsky Spivak. Charles Spivak was a medical doctor and the long-time secretary of the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society. Oil painting on masonite board of a woman and child, possibly Madonna and Child. Woman with head scarf and long full robes sits on a wooden bench by an window holding a wrapped child in her arms. She looks down at the child's face with rays of light shinging through the window on the two; an indication it may be the Madonna and Child. Painting is done is an expressionist style using brown, blue, green and yellow tones.

File contains exhibit planning notes relating to timeline and tasks, images of paintings, and information on paintings, such as title, dimension, medium and price, for the "Honoring the life and art of Maria Lowenstein" at the Niza Knoll Gallery. An unsigned copy of the exhibit and consignment agreement and the rules and regulations of the gallery as well as printed cards and fliers for the exhibit and a gallery business card are included.
