Abstract
The Denver Institute for Jewish Studies was established in 1963 to streamline adult Jewish studies throughout East Denver. There had been a frequent overlap and lack of organzation between the synagogues that offered courses. The Institute worked to coordinate and streamline adult educational programs. Dr. Sharon Greenleaf La Pierre's career in art and art education spans more than 30 years, beginning with design and textile crafts at several community colleges.
