Abstract
Bernalillo, New Mexico. Informant gives an account of the dance game "valse chiquiado," connected with the experiences of a hunter named Cruz Hurtado. Hurtado finds himself in the woods and, hiding behind a pine tree, gets to see a colony of bears dancing and participating in the "valse chiquiado." Explanation in story form of "valse chiquiado." Abstract
Bernalillo, New Mexico. Conclusion of the Cruz Hurtado tall tale. As Cruz gets deeper into the forest, he sees a group of bears dancing the "valse chiquiado." He is unnoticed by the bears because he is hiding behind a pine tree. "Valse chiquiado" described. See item 7.22. Quality: Fair/Poor.
