Overview Typed letter from C.D. Spivak in Denver, Colorado to Julius Guttman in St. Louis, Missouri acknowledges a circular letter sent out by the Rodphey Sholem Lodge #322 I.O.B.A. that brings attention to a patient at the Sanatorium, who is member of their lodge, and is getting worse with expsenses that need to be paid. Sender wishes to make clear there is a patient by the name of Solomon Bailinsohn, a brother of the Rodphey Sholem Lodge, and was admitted as an emergency case on December 15, 1909....

Overview Handwritten letter from Julius Guttmann addressed to Dr. C. D. Spivak Secy J.C.R.S. Denver, Colo. on Nathan Frank Lodge No. 87 I.O.B.A. Stationary. In the letter, Guttmann discussees a circular letter he included "which speaks for itself." Guttmann argues that the letter implies that J.C.R.S. accepts payment from patients or their friends and is possibly "seeking to obtain money by misrepresentation." Guttmann asks Dr. Spivak for information concerning the case.
