Abstract Born in Denver, Allen Dupont Breck graduated from the University of Denver in 1936 and served in World War II. He was a professor of history at DU from 1946 to 1996, during which time he was chair of the history department and wrote the official history of the university. Abstract

The Businesses Collection reflects the diverse role Jews played in the economic growth of the American West, particularly within Colorado. It includes a paper on Jewish businesses and articles and documents from and about a variety of businesses, dating from 1890 to 2007.
