Operating Room at the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society, circa 1941
Interior of an operating room at the Texas Pavilion, on the campus of the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society (JCRS). The JCRS was a sanatorium for tuberculosis patients that was founded in 1904 by a group of immigrant Jewish workingmen along with the support of several leading physicians and rabbis in Denver, Colorado. The sanatorium was located on West Colfax Avenue just outside of Denver.

Arthur Krieger provides general information about the University Park area of Denver, Colorado since moving to the area in the 1930s. He offers a critique on the design and construction of the Valley Highway (known as I-25, Denver's North-South Interstate Highway) in the 1950s and comments on the noise and pollution it brought to the area. Krieger also notes that he is a former scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 5, Denver, Colorado.

Childhood in Humboldt, Tennessee- first Jewish child born in Humboldt, brother was first Jew buried in Humboldt, Tennessee and prominent city figure so the city allowed the funeral service to be integrated. Came to Denver in 1928 for husband’s work, thought Denver was only tuberculars and asthmatics at first. She was president of NCJW from 1942-44 and activities of the Council. Formation of Temple Micah.
