Abstract

Bess Laderman chaired the Denver-Karmiel (Israel) Sister-Committee from its founding in 1977 until 1986. Members of Karmiel committee are presenting materials to Governor Richard Lamm and to Denver Mayor William McNichols. One photograph shows Phyllis Pepper, Bess Laderman, and William Fink with Mayor McNichols. The other photo shows George Barraute, Nancy Steiner, Jack Schaeffer with Governor Lamm.

Raphael Jospe was a scholar in residence in Denver's Sister City Karmiel, Israel in 1982. He was a philosophy assistant professor and coordinator of the Center for Judaic Studies at the University of Denver.
