Abstract

Senator Young, Senator Cannon, Senator Dominick and Lieutenant General Moorman stand next to the Eagle and Fledglings statue on the campus of the U. S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The plaque at the base of the statue reads Presented by Members of the Air Training Command, 1958. The academy's permanent campus opened at this site in 1958. The Cadet Chapel, a National Historic Landmark, and the Rampart Range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains can be seen in the background.
