Abstract Rabbi Samuel Baskin served in pulpits in Denver, Salt Lake City, and Brooklyn. His son, Rabbi Bernard Baskin, temporarily replaced Rabbi Herbert Friedman at Temple Emanuel when the latter became a wartime chaplain from 1944 to 1947. He retired after 40 years at a liberal synagogue in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Abstract Bea Asherman was a longtime volunteer for National Jewish Health, beginning when she joined the New York Auxiliary Chapter of the National Home for Jewish Children, later the National Asthma Center. She became president of the New York auxillary, and then a national auxiliary board member and trustee.
