German poetry book with green fabric cover; heavily faded on the binding. Book is inscribed "For Katinka from Sylvester A.D. 1950 Westbrook, Conn." Presumably Maria Lowenstein acquired the book while she was living in the Northeast. She did have art shows in Connecticut.
Paul Kwartin , October 1978 - November 1, 1978
Paul Kwartin was a Brooklyn cantor who was born in Hungary and raised in Denver. He sang with the Central City Opera in Denver for eight seasons, appeared in a Broadway production of "No For An Answer", and was also a business manager. He died in his Westport, Connecticut home from cancer at age 63.
