This box contains two (2) posters from the 45th Annual Holiday Parade in Uptown Whittier, 1998. It also contains two (2) posters from the 30th National Square Dance Convention.
Box 101: Greene Family Photos, 1951-1954
This box contains photos of the Greene family and participants taken from Lloyd Shaw's Dance Camp (1951-1954) and Lighted Lantern Dance Camp (1951).
Box 104: Lloyd Shaw National Square Dance Convention Trophy Base, 1954
This box contains the base of a very large trophy. The top half of the trophy is located in another box (these two pieces can be easily screwed back together for any display purposes). The base of the trophy has an inscription: "National Square Dance Convention April 8-10, 1954 Dallas, Texas".
Box 105: Lloyd Shaw National Square Dance Convention Trophy Top, 1954
This box contains the top half of the trophy from Box 104. This trophy top is also engraved "To Lloyd 'Pappy' Shaw, 'The Dean of Square Dancing', in appreciation of the greatest contribution of all, his teachings in literature which is destined to perpetuate Square Dancing in America". The trophy top is very top-heavy, so caution is advised when handling it.
Box 106: Wooden Figures
This box contains three (3) wooden figures: one in dark brown wood is of a dancing couple, with penciled lines to show faces and costumes; and the other two are both painted black, one dancing woman and one dancing man.
Box 109: Artist Renderings and Posters
This box contains two (2) artist renderings of a Rose Bowl Parade float (one is very large, the second is much smaller, but both show the same float design); it also contains two (2) copies of a single poster that say "Harborplace Welcomes National Square Dance Convention '84".
Brundage Family Papers
Al and Bob Brundage were important figures in the square dance community. They played a significant role in spreading western style square dance in New England. This collection contains their square dance materials. This includes correspondence, personal files, working files, teaching materials, and interview transcripts.
Cal Golden Papers
This collection contains memorabilia from Cal Golden's time as a Square Dance Caller. The collection includes awards, realia, audio recordings, textiles, and photographs. Cal used the textiles for his performances. The awards, realia, and photographs were gifts or depict Cal performing.
Caller's Notebooks, Cue Cards, Dance Instructions, and Sheet Music
This series contains caller's notebooks given to the Lloyd Shaw Foundation as well as sheet music. It also contains cue cards and dance instructions for a variety of dances.
