Abstract

Collection contains records from the various centers at the University of Denver. The centers include the Career Center, Center for Public Policy and Contemporary Issues, Women’s Resource Center, and Health and Counseling Center.

Abstract

Older Women's League was founded in 1980 after a White House Conference on Aging in Des Moines, Iowa. Its mission was to be an advocate for older women, from the recognition of the value of their work (paid and unpaid), to health care for all. Issues such as Social Security, caregiving, pension reform were addressed in Mother's Day campaigns. The Denver Chapter participated in all the activities of the national branch, as well as having its own newsletter and gatherings.

This collection contains maps assembled for interpretive use in support of the various collections, and illustration of the areas in which the various University of Denver campus buildings have been located over time.

Abstract The University of Denver Student Health Service began in October 1945 with the appointment of Dr. Frank O. Robertson as the first full-time Health Director for the university. The first Health Service building opened on April 7, 1947 in a war-surplus building at 2040 South Josephine Street.
