The material in the collection includes items, photographs, and papers related to Dorothy Bercu Gross and her husband Norman Gross, her extended family, and her Vaudeville career in the 1920s and 1930s. Her father owned the Chicago Hide, Fur and Wool Company in Douglas, Wyoming and Denver, Colorado. The collection spans from the late 1800s to 2015 and illustrates an extended Jewish family and vaudeville performers.

Abstract The Central Agency for Jewish Education (CAJE) was established in Denver in 1973. The mission of CAJE is Jewish education and it has created a resource center that holds materials on Jewish issues, life, and culture. The organization also sponsors teacher training and runs seminars and workshops for Jewish schools and educators for the Rocky Mountain Region. CAJE works closely with the Jewish Educators Council. Jewish Education Task Force Records

The Jewish Education Task Force was created in the Spring of 1988 to explore the problems and challenges faced by the community in the area of Jewish education, as a result of the 1987 seminar "Major Issues in Jewish Education" presented by the Jewish Education Service of North America (JESNA). Collection contains administrative paperwork from the Jewish Education Task Force and questionnaires from 14 Denver area Jewish educational schools and camps.

Moses Katz Papers

Abstract

Moses (Moe) Katz was born in Denver, Colorado, in 1899. He grew up in Denver and was educated at West Denver High School, the University of Denver, and the University of Illinois. He founded the Chemical Sales Company with H. Fine in 1927. Katz was also involved in the Allied Jewish Federation of Denver and became its president in 1956. This collection includes a small number of items related to Moses Katz' education in chemistry as well as his career in the chemistry field.

Yeshiva Toras Chaim Records

Originally located 1400 Quitman Denver, Colorado, Yeshiva Toras Chaim is a Talmudical Seminary that opened in 1967. In 1997, they acquired the former sire of the Hebrew Educational Alliance and renovated the Stuart Street campus in 2016. Collection contains Yeshiva Toras Chaim publications and Intermountain Jewish News clippings related to the Yeshiva Toras Chaim from 1967 through 1980 and a DVD presentation from 2012.
