Abstract The Alma Mater statue, commonly called the Mary and Margery Reed statue, and sometimes called the ''Mother Daughter'' statue. The sculptor was Enrico Licari, a Sicilian born sculptor who lived in Denver. It is titled the Alma Mater Statue and was given in honor of Margery Reed, a University of Denver alumna and faculty member who died in 1925, by her mother, Mary D. Reed.
