Birds in the Stairwell, 2010 October 22
A cycling projected video loop was installed in the stairwell of Penrose Library for the site-specific art installation, HYLAEA. Media Cluster #1 featured the artist, Dr. Timothy Weaver paging through an original edition of John James Audubon’s The Birds of America: From Drawings Made in the United States and their Territories and was on display at the University of Denver from October 14th, 2010- February 14th, 2011.
Birthday Card, circa 1935
An ivory-colored birthday card given to Peryle Hayutin Beck from her husband, Ira M. Beck. The front has two pink and yellow roses and a yellow ribbon sewn into the card's surface with gold lettering: ''My Birthday Gift Is A Gift of Love''. Inside the card in black lettering: ''My gift to you is a gift of love, That shall last to the longest day. It won't wear out, and it can't be lost, And it can't be given away'', and ''Ira'' is signed in blue ink.
