Chanukah Menorah, after 1905

 Item
Identifier: B002.16.0323.00002
Abstract

These chrome Chanukah Menorahs were used at the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society. There is a Star of David with a candle holder on top and eight more candle holders behind. The Menorah is kindled each night during the eight days of the festival of Chanukah. The candles are lit to publicize the miracle of the spiritual salvation of the Jews from their Greek enemies by the hand of God, in the days of the Second Holy Temple.
